Married artists Steve Emery & Kathleen Lipinski have collaborated and worked individually and within our community for over thirty-five years. They began their professional careers in the early 1980's with a series of serigraphs (silk screen prints) of Marin landscapes.
Currently, Kathleen paints in oil on canvas to create complex, large format paintings of Marin. Her art combines a love of nature with dedication to realism, attention to detail, and a focus on capturing the quality of light.
Steve has maintained two bodies of work throughout his career, in drawing, printmaking, and primarily acrylic painting. His landscapes of Marin and the Sierra focus on intimate, abstract details in nature. His "lyrical" work combines light, color, time and movement into complex and beautiful paintings.
