Intrigued by the research around language immersion and how a second language can actually help your child's brain development? Or just want to integrate education around other cultures into your family's life? On May 4th at 10am-1pm, CILA - The Cultural Institute of Language & Art - is putting on a special event to educate the North Bay community about the benefits of foreign language acquisition and the exploration of world cultures.
"Language, The Brain & Cultural Immersion", will consist of a keynote presentation by Wendy Xa, neuroscientist and founder of Terra Marin TK-8, Terra Mandarin Preschool and Presidio Knolls Preschool, as well as a panel discussion with experts in education, students and world travelers who will share their experiences with language immersion, travel and cultural exchanges. In addition, there will be informational booths to provide resources for attendees, led by organizations who hold the same passion for cultural and language immersion education.
