My wonderful, loving, experienced, energetic, reliable, responsible, mature babysitter will be available for a FT or PT long term position starting in September. (She would prefer 3-4 days a week, because she also has a small housecleaning business, but would move things around to accomodate the right family.) She can travel anywhere in Marin County, has a newish, immaculate, safe and reliable SUV.

She has been with my family for my youngest daughter for over two years, and we have also used her as a p/t nanny share with another family - and she watched the two toddlers together two to three days a week. She has watched as many as four children together between our two families, and kept everyone safe and entertained. Truly a gem. The younger kids are now entering preschool in September and we are so sad we cannot keep her as our needs have changed.

She had excellent references when he hired her, (from previous babysitting jobs as well as local retail / food service jobs), and we are prepared to give her glowing recommendation as well. My kids absolutely adore her. I do too - when she watches them, somehow she manages to do our laundry and tidy the house as well while they are napping. She takes them to the library, to the park, to Jumping Jacks. My "spies" in the community constanty comment on how attentive she is. She is not one of those nannies yakking on the cell phone all the time while your kids are languishing in the sandbox by themselves. She cooks for them, packs lunches and snacks, cleans up after them, interacts with them.

She lives in Novato, has a safe and reliable SUV, a clean CDL. She last took that 2-day Child & Infant Red Cross CPR / First Aid / Babysitter class the last time almost two years ago (February 09), and I'm sure she would be willing to recertify if it were a requirement. She has two children of her own - her youngest in high school, and oldest in college, all local.

I think she was sick two times in the entire two years she worked for us, despite taking care of our kids when they were sick. She is completely reliable and we also used her for overnight and out of town times, which she was very flexilble to accomodate - as well as special one-time housecleaning needs or help with parties, etc.

Her first language is Spanish, but her English is good (was good enough to work at Starbucks in Greenbrae when I found her) and if you ever need to clarify or translate, her daughter and son are completely fluent and can help via text or phone on the fly if you need. I never needed that.
