4th of July @ the Berkeley Marina

This event is expired.
On the 4th of July the biggest party is at the Berkeley Marina from noon-10PM with all kinds of free fun! Adventure Playground is open until 8PM where children can use hammers, nails, saws, and paint with parental supervision. Get your face painted or splash in the water at the beach. Stay for the fireworks at night!
There's live entertainment from noon until 9:30PM so come dance to the salsa sounds of the Bautista Band. Enjoy a special performance for the 4th of July by the United States Air Force Band of the Golden West. There's Lee Waterman's Jazz Band, The Funkanauts, and St. Gabriel's Celestial Brass Band. Tucked around the beautiful marina discover an Afro Cuban Drumming Circle, a one-man band, steel drummers, face painters, and balloon twisters.
There's yummy food trucks and stalls, handmade crafts, free dragon boat rowing from 12-5PM, live pony rides, a petting zoo, Nerf tag and Sumo Soccer near Skates, an inflatable bouncy area, mini-train rides, giant slides, and water bubble balls. More fun at the free photo booth sponsored by Looking Glass Photo. The day culminates in the grand fireworks over the water near the end of the Berkeley Pier at 9:35PM, presented by the City of Berkeley. Viewing is best along Frontage Drive south of the Pier or from Hs Lordship's parking lot.
Vehicle parking in the marina is $15 for the day or you can ride your bike over the Berkeley bicycle overpass and use the free valet parking near Adventure Playground.
