Blithedale Summit Preserve: The Light Show

Join Ranger Gabe for an invigorating evening hike to enjoy nature's light show. We’ll hike up Blithedale Ridge and watch the sun set behind Mount Tam. Next, we’ll walk along the ridge and watch the City's skyline light up under a rising full moon. Finally, we’ll switch on our own lights and descend through a dark forest. This is a moderately strenuous hike of 3.5 miles with an elevation gain of approximately 1,000 feet. Appropriate for all ages. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. Bring water and a flashlight/headlamp. Friendly dogs ok but must be leashed. Adverse weather or poor air quality may cancel.
