Enjoy a weekend of family fun this weekend, May 20 and 21, at Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen. Family-friendly events include guided tours, Plowing Play Day and a family nature activities and art project on Sunday, and wine tasting by Kenwood Vineyards (also on Sunday).
Admission on Sunday, May 21, is free! (Normally $10 per car.) All park visitors can enter to win a cruiser bicycle donated by Wine Country Cyclery, too.
Sunday family activities:
Plowing Play Day: This popular family event features plowing and harnessing demonstrations, free horse-drawn wagon rides. See mules and Clydesdales Percheron, Shire and Belgian draft horses, blacksmiths, spinning demonstrations and Early Day Gas Engines.
Family Fun Activities: For our youngest adventurers (9 and under), we have a fun Nature-activity area located in the Eucalyptus picnic grove. Beginning with a Nature walk and exploration at 11am sharp, families can engage in up-close adventures with the flora and fauna of the park!
