Earth Day — Angel Island State Park

Volunteers will remove invasive plants such as pride of Madeira, broom, and forget-me-nots to protect native species growing in those areas! Volunteers will also build fire resiliency in the park by reducing fuel for a potential wildfire, including splitting and moving downed wood. Groups will work in selected areas of the park within walking distance (100 feet to 1 mile) of the ferry dock to allow for different difficulty levels based on volunteers’ abilities. All ages are welcome (minors must be accompanied by an adult and bring a waiver signed by their guardian). Please note: this workday includes a ferry ride to and from the event. Please arrive between 9:15am - 9:45am to check in. The Ferry departs from Tiburon promptly at 10:00am and returns hourly 1:20 pm to 3:20 pm.
