An exclusive preview of Barnes & Noble’s upcoming Mini Maker Faire will provide educators with new insights into the Maker movement and its focus on creating, collaborating and sharing ideas that can change the world. To further support that goal, Barnes & Noble is partnering with Penguin Random House to offer educators a special mini-workshop based on Chelsea Clinton’s new book, It’s Your World: Get Informed, Get Inspired & Get Going!, which helps inspire readers to do what they can to make an impact in the world around them. Preview the First-Ever Retail Mini Maker Faire Hosted by Barnes & Noble
The Maker movement is founded on the importance of experiential learning through the processes of collaboration, experimentation and creativity, and there’s no better way to help educators implement these changes in their classrooms and local communities than by giving them a special preview of Barnes & Noble’s first-ever Mini Maker Faire, which will take place November 6-8 in stores nationwide.



Educators are also invited back the first weekend in November for Barnes & Noble’s first national retail Mini Maker Faire in partnership with Maker Media. Attendees will experience hands-on learning and making opportunities in the areas of ideation, creative thinking, art, design, construction and innovation, as well as programming, coding and 3D printing – with activities for children ages five and up to adults.
