Come celebrate Tu B'Shvat - also known as Jewish Arbor Day, Chag Ha'ilanot and the Birthday of the Trees.
Please join Adam Lowy, Assistant Director, Jewish Studies at the Leslie Family OFJCC Preschool, on a Walking Seder. The event is perfect for the whole family!
We will commune with trees and properly honor them by sampling different fruits and nuts, learning and saying the appropriate blessings as we eat them, and making Jewish connections to nature.
The walk will culminate with a bring-your-own picnic lunch and a ritual of mixing grape juices to symbolize the seasons and the yearly cycle of trees.
Please meet at Shoup Park. We will take a short trail to the Redwood Grove Nature Preserve to commence the Walking Seder.
