Fun, Exciting, Free Safe-Boating Expo

An exciting, free, fun family event at beautiful U.S. Coast Guard Station Golden Gate, near the north tower of the Golden Gate bridge. Come get a free life jacket (while supplies last), watch friendly Coast Guard dogs as they demonstrate how they detect explosives, witness thrilling helicopter rescue demos, take tours of Coast Guard vessels and the Coast Guard station, learn about boating safety, get a free boater environmental kit, bring your boat -- even paddlecraft -- for a courtesy vessel safety exam, and take one of three free boating seminars. There's something for everyone, and plenty of free parking.
This family-oriented event kicks off National Safe Boating Week May 16-22. We live in an area surrounded by water, and even if you and your family aren't regular boaters, it's important to know how to be safe around water. There's no better way to learn than in a fun environment like this! The Coast Guard Auxiliary and U.S. Coast Guard, which are partnering on this event, look forward to seeing you!
