Girls Can Become Park Rangers Too

This event is expired.
Girls can play in the dirt, rock at sports, camp in the woods, and grow up to be park rangers! Join rangers at the Marin County Parks Lucas Valley Field Office for light snacks and to learn about what a Marin County Park Ranger does and how to become a park ranger. We’ll have fun activities to demonstrate the diverse duties that rangers perform; everything from a cool chainsaw demo, to looking at the importance of trail etiquette and enforcement of regulations, to a brief visit out in the field to talk about the wild and wonderful natural world. We’ll also have a special guest who will share her experiences of working with several different parks agencies. This program is ideal for Girl Scout groups and other girls between ages 6-12. Boys welcome too. Maximum capacity: 20 participants. This is not a drop off event and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note we have limited vacancies, with vacancies being filled on a first come first serve basis.
