The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco (JCCSF) will celebrate the last night of Hanukkah at Ghirardelli Square with a Glowing Hanukkah Party on Sunday, December 9. Held from 3 to 6 p.m. in the Upper Plaza and Fountain Plaza, the event will offer free children’s activities, music, and the lighting of the menorah.
This pop-up is inspired by Hanukkah, celebrated during eight of the darkest days of the year, and focuses on creating light in both a metaphorical and literal sense by bringing people together to light candles, sing, play games, and eat.
ACTIVITIES: Attendees can enjoy the following:
- DIY Crafts: Crystal Suncatchers & Rainbow light spinners
- Fresh donuts with Harvey’s Donuts
- Make hygiene kits for people experiencing homelessness, distributed by Lava Mae
- Special Hanukkah activities with shops at Ghirardelli Square
- Hanukkah candle-lighting and songs
- LED Piano Concert with Luminescent Grand
