Experience the art of performance and disguise at Italian Street Painting Marin’s

Carnevale di Venezia

Saturday/Sunday, June 27 & 28 downtown San Rafael!

The art of over 100 street painters, and dozens of musicians, will highlight the 2015 Italian Street Painting Marin event. The Venetian Carnival theme will transport you to Venice during Carnevale, a time of elaborate masks, costumes, and the unexpected.

Through the eyes of the Madonnari (street painters), experience a captivating weekend of intrigue in downtown San Rafael, June 27-28. Hours: Saturday10-8, Sunday 10-6. Tickets are available online at ispm.brownpapertickets.com or at the event (cash only).
Admission is $5.00 on Saturday, and $10.00 on Sunday. Children 12 and under FREE!

Other event highlights include:
• Children’s Avenue – Toddlers-12 year olds can create their own street painting masterpiece on a 2’x 2’ square; chalk included. Cost: $10
• Gallery of Masks – View the amazing entries from our children’s and adult’s mask-making competition
• RareArtist Exhibition – Showcasing the compelling art created by those touched by rare diseases from EveryLife Foundation for Rare Disease’s RareArtist Contest
• Parade of Costumes – Event models in Venetian cloaks or costumes and spectacular masks will cross the Rafael Rialto Bridge periodically throughout the event
• Live Music – Musical entertainment includes Bautista, Good Karma Jazz Ensemble, Ken Emerson Slack & Steel Guitar, Lorin Rowan Trio, Midnight North, Moonalice, and The Abe Train
