This year’s Lagunitas Fall Music Festival will feature musical performances by amazing local Marin talents, The Kate Gaffney Band and Singer Songwriter Jerry Hannan.
In addition to live music, the Festival features fun for the whole family including BBQ and Oysters, Games and Activities, Cake Walk, Raffle Basket Giveaway and more.
Proceeds from the Festival and Raffle go towards maintaining Art, Music, Teachers Aides and other enrichment programs that are part of the curriculum at Lagunitas Public Montessori Program.
Entrance to the festival is free and open to entire community. Tickets for food and games can be purchased on site.
Kate Gaffney Band
Singer-songwriter Kate Gaffney honed her skills in her native Philadelphia, jumped from coast to coast and toured everywhere in between. She laid musical roots in Northern California, building a loyal following in Sacramento and within the San Francisco Bay Area music community. In this recent emergence of the Kate Gaffney Band (KGB), she joins together with some of the bay area’s best local and touring musicians. Guitarist Jeff Miller (New Monsoon, The Contribution), keyboardist Phil Ferlino (New Monsoon, The Contribution), bassist David Russ (The Shakers, Deluxe), and drummer Marty Ylitalo (Blue Man Group, Sean Lehe) each add their own unique sound and soul to the project. The KGB brings their refreshing style of folk/groove/roots/rock to the stage, mostly performing Kate’s original songs, many of which can be heard on her critically acclaimed “The Coachman” album. Kate Gaffney has performed at High Sierra Music Festival, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass & Philadelphia Folk Festival.
Jerry Hannan
Jerry Hannan is often called a Marin County Treasure. Described as “shades of Dylan and John Prine…. Very Americana with a faint Irish lilt”, Jerry Hannan’s songs speak of our everyday lives and the magic that we sometimes miss. He’s a storyteller, known for his thought provoking lyrics and exuberant performances. A distinguished songwriter and entertainer, Hannan recorded his song “Society” with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, which is featured in Sean Penn’s film Into the Wild.
