The Light Show
Join Ranger Gabe for an invigorating evening hike and enjoy nature's light show. Weather permitting, we will hike up Blithedale Ridge and watch the sun set behind Mount Tam. Next, we will walk along the ridge and watch the City's skyline light up under a rising full moon. Finally, we will switch on our own lights and descend through a dark forest.
This is ideal for ages 6 and up. Degree of difficulty: Moderate. Dress in layers and wear sturdy shoes. We’ll provide water and healthy snacks. Friendly dogs are welcome but must be leashed.
High fire danger cancels: Call (415) 473-7191 to get an update on fire danger status and land closures. If a "Red Flag" warning is in effect, all walks and events on Open Space District preserves are cancelled.
Please reserve your spot in advance, as this event is limited to 35 participants. Questions or to RSVP: Contact Ranger Gabe Ngarangad at GNarangad@marincounty.org or (415) 473-2816.
