Every first and second Sunday and select school holidays from 11am–3pm, families can experience a new adventure in art-making free with admission to The Contemporary Jewish Museum. As always, the hands-on fun inspires children to learn more about the exhibitions on display in the galleries, the building’s architecture, or holidays and traditions while experimenting with materials and art techniques.
Sunday, January 8: Desert Landscapes
Sand dunes, clay camels, a tiny cactus—what will you create in your desert? Create your own landscape using sand, clay and other fine art materials.
Monday, January 16: Flags for Justice
In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. and inspired by the banners of artist Cary Leibowitz, create your own unique flag using fabric markers and the words of Martin Luther King, Jr.
FREE with regular admission as follows: Members and youth 18 and under, Free; General Admission, $15; Students with a valid ID and Seniors, $13.
