Mill Valley Winterfest

: Mill Valley’s Depot Plaza will be filled with live music, children playing and community camaraderie when the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the City of Mill Valley, rings in the holiday season with their annual Winterfest celebration.
This year’s 20th anniversary of Winterfest will be the best one yet with an expanded array of food vendors, new activities, and a day-long lineup of live entertainment (view full schedule below). Activities include the famous snow slide, holiday arts and crafts, games and activities, and delicious seasonal food & drinks courtesy of Piazza D'Angelo, Sweetwater Music Hall & Café, Pasta Pomodoro, Equator Coffees and Tea, and NEW this year are Good Earth Natural Foods, and Honeymoon Ice Cream.

The highlight of the day is the arrival of Santa Claus himself in an antique Mill Valley Fire truck at 1pm. Children will have an opportunity to take photos with Santa until 3pm. The day-long extravaganza is capped off by a spectacular Tree Lighting Ceremony at dusk. This long running traditional event showcases a wide variety of family friendly activities open to everyone.
The annual Winterfest will also be an opportunity to help those in need. The Mill Valley Chamber is pleased to partner with the SF-Marin Food Bank for a food drive, the Mill Valley Fire Department for a toy drive, and Cronkite Development Inc. for a coat drive. There will be a dedicated area in the Plaza (by the Santa station) to drop off any donations.
Also being offered at this year’s Winterfest is free bicycle parking in the adjacent lot to the plaza, courtesy the Marin County Bicycle Coalition and Tam Bikes.
This event is FREE and open to the public. There is a $2 suggested donation for each run down the snow slide - or 3 runs for $5.
