Mt. Tam Day of Thanks

Start a new family tradition by thanking our natural community through conservation on Saturday, November 21. The One Tam initiative of the Tamalpais Lands Collaborative will be hosting its annual “Mt. Tam Day of Thanks,” a large volunteer work day to celebrate and give thanks for this beloved mountain. We will be at Bothin Marsh, along the popular Mill Valley - Sausalito multi-use recreation path. Registration starts at 9 am, and the workday is from 9:30 am-12:30 pm.

Family friendly projects will include trash removal, pulling invasive weeds, and improving the condition of wooden bridges along the path. There will be opportunities to learn about wildlife on Mt. Tam and the ecology of tidal marshes, and time to enjoy prime bird watching. Don’t forget to wear your rain gear and rubber boots as we hope to be in the presence of some much-needed rain!
