Mt. Tam Earth Day: A Celebration of Service and the Centennial

This event is expired.
Join us on Saturday, April 23 to celebrate Earth Day and provide some TLC to our treasured Mt. Tam! One Tam, along with our friends at Friends of Mt. Tam, the Marin chapter of the California Native Plant Society, and KQED, will host several service projects on and around the mountain.
Project sites include Creekside Marsh and Bothin Marsh, Canyon and Moore Trails at the Marin Stables, Pantoll Ranger Station and nearby trails, Muir Woods, Muir Beach, and Stinson Beach—with activities such as habitat restoration, trail and boardwalk maintenance, beach cleanup, and landscaping.
On this special Earth Day we will also be celebrating the NPS Centennial, as the National Park Service turns 100 this year. Two fetes of community, stewardship, and our cherished public lands in one day—what could be a better way to spend the day?
Many of our service projects are family-friendly and open to volunteers of all ages. Bring just yourself or come with your family and friends—or ask us about how to sign up a group. No experience necessary—we provide all the training and tools.
