Nature for Kids: Deer Island

This is a Healthy Parks Healthy People Event We’ll follow the 2.3 mile loop trail around this “island” as we walk through oak forests and open meadows. This beautiful little ridge that rises above the surrounding marshland is a great place to enjoy an autumn day with the family. Don’t forget to bring your lunch! DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 101 in Novato, take the exit for Atherton Ave east 1.7 miles. Turn right onto Olive Ave and left onto Deer Island Ln. The gate is on your right.
