One Tam Bioblitz: Cascade Canyon

This event is expired.

Join One Tam and Marin County Parks at the gorgeous Cascade Canyon Open Space Preserve as we try to identify and document every living species we see! Hone your naturalist skills, learn to use the iNaturalist smart phone app, and contribute valuable data about Mt. Tam’s biodiversity. No smartphone? No problem! No experience or special equipment are necessary, just bring your enthusiasm for science and nature.

The lush woodlands of this Fairfax jewel give way to a sprawling hillside grassland where we'll focus on finding plants, insects, birds, spiders, and much more. Groups will also be able to explore a seasonally wet meadow, rock outcrops, and riparian understory.

Meeting Location: Register to get details on the meeting location. See below for further details.

-Closed-toe shoes are required. Bring layers in case of weather changes, and be sure to bring a hat and sunscreen.
