Opera for Families: Viva Italia!

This event is expired.

Join us on a fascinating journey into Italian culture and music through games, songs and fun activities. The cast will perform pieces by Verdi, Rossini, Mozart and more.

The birth of opera as an art form has its roots in Italy. The Italian language and its musicality attracted composers to use it as the primary singing language and a large part of the most famous opera pieces are sung in Italian.

Two singers and a pianist will perform a selection of pieces from operas and musicals. Their performance will be enhanced with explanations, role-playing games and exercises that will help the young audience explore different aspects of opera.

The program has been performed hundreds of times, receiving rave reviews for being a fascinating, enriching and unforgettable experience.
