DIESEL, A Bookstore in Larkspur welcomes Courtney Spain Aragon to the store for her publication party where she will read and sign her new picture book, "Fraydo the Dragon: A Very Big Problem!", on Sunday, December 4th, at 2:00pm.
Fraydo the Dragon and his friend Pee Wee go on an adventure to solve Fraydo’s BIG Problem — he thinks he is a dog! Can you help? Get those problem solving hats on and help Fraydo the Dragon and Pee Wee figure out Fraydo’s big problem before he wrecks the small medieval village!
"Fraydo the Dragon: A Very Big Problem!" is a fun and humorous story for children about friends solving a problem together. This book and supporting discussion guide aim to invoke critical thinking skills around these important topics: understanding friendships and differences, developing empathy, and building upon one’s own self-awareness to problem solve.
Following the reading, Fraydo the Dragon invites your child to join the Fraydo Dragon Club by participating in his Workshop Project Challenge —- building a Marshmallow Catapult! The Marshmallow Challenge is just 1 of 4 S.T.E.A.M. Project Challenges that can be found in Fraydo The Dragon Club. When your child completes all four, they'll receive a Certificate of Awesomeness. Fraydo the Dragon will also give your child a postcard invitation to be part of the Kingdom of Aragon’s Pen Pal Program where your child can write to any character from the storybook and the character will write back.
