Scarecrow Showdown at Larson Family Winery
This October, help us bring our pumpkin patch to life (and laughter) with creative scarecrows made by YOU! Whether you’re an individual, family, club, classroom, or local business, we invite you to join our community scarecrow contest and show off your fall spirit!
Participants must install scarecrows between the dates of October 2-5th between 11am and 5pm
Prizes:
1st Place: $250 Larson Gift Card
2nd place: $150 Larson Gift Card
3rd place: $50 Larson Gift Card

Rules & Guidelines
- Eligibility: Open to individuals, families, businesses, schools, and community groups.
- Theme: First Annual Scarecrow Showdown - creativity encouraged (family friendly only). No political or religious messages.
- Size Limit: No taller than 7 ft. and fit within a 4ft. x 4ft. space. Scarecrow must be self supporting.
- Set up: Participants must install scarecrows between the dates of October 2-5th between 11am and 5pm. Scarecrows must be free standing and able to stand in windy or rainy conditions (stakes encouraged). Each entry must include signage with your scarecrow’s name and a short, fun description.
- Voting:
- Public voting in person at Larson Tasting Room & Pumpkin Patch
- Online voting through our social media and website for those who can’t attend in person
- One vote per email address
- Removal: Winners of our Scarecrow Showdown will be announced on November 4th. Scarecrows must be picked up and removed by November 8th or they will be disposed of.
- Liability: Larson is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.
