Barnes & Noble Corte Madera Announces August Lineup of Free Children’s Storytimes
Highlights Include Barnes & Noble’s Picture Book of the Month, If You Ever Want to Bring an Alligator to School, Don’t! & the 30th Anniversary of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie
What: The Gingerbread Man Loose in the School Storytime
When: Saturday, August 8, at 11 a.m.
Details: When a class leaves for recess, their just-baked Gingerbread Man is left behind. But he's a smart cookie and heads out to find them. He'll run, slide, skip, and (after a mishap with a soccer ball) limp as fast as he can because: "I can catch them! I'm their Gingerbread Man!" Coloring follows the Storytime. The story may be read on NOOK® by Samsung, a full-featured Android tablet that combines Samsung’s leading technology and NOOK’s extraordinary content and reading experience.

Details: Join us for a special Storytime featuring one of the most beloved children's books of all time, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie, celebrating its 30th anniversary. If a hungry little traveler shows up at your house, you might want to give him a cookie. If you give him a cookie, he’s going to ask for a glass of milk. Fun activities follow the Storytime.
What: Little Blue Truck Beep-Along Storytime
When: Saturday, August 29, at 11 a.m.
Details: If you’re happy and you know it, beep-along! With this new take on the classic sing-along song, children can interact with their favorite Little Blue Truck and beep his horn while they visit with all his farm animal friends. Singing and activities will round out the fun. The story may be read on NOOK® by Samsung, a full-featured Android tablet that combines Samsung’s leading technology and NOOK’s extraordinary content and reading experience.
