Barnes & Noble Corte Madera Announces October Free Children’s Storytimes
What: We’re in the wrong book! Storytime
When: Saturday, October 3, at 11 a.m.
Details: When a potato sack race goes awry, Bella and Ben find themselves bumped from their familiar page into uncharted territory. It's a brave new world of lollipops and sphinxes--and Bella and Ben are on one page-turning adventure. How will they find their way back into their very own book? Coloring activities and matching games follow the Storytime.
What: Pete the Cat and the Bedtime Blues Storytime
When: Saturday, October 10, at 11 a.m.
Details: Pete the Cat and his friends are having so much fun playing and surfing in the sun, they don't want the day to end. Pete has an idea—how about a sleepover? As the night gets later, it's time for bed. This cool cat needs to catch some ZZZs, but Pete's friends aren't ready to go to sleep just yet. Then Pete has another idea. . . . Will it work? Activities will round out the fun.
What: Imaginary Fred Storytime
When: Saturday, October 17, at 11 a.m.
Details: A quirky, funny, and utterly irresistible story from author Eoin Colfer and illustrator Oliver Jeffers. Did you know that sometimes, with a little electricity, luck or even magic, an imaginary friend might appear when you need one? An imaginary friend like Fred floats like a feather in the wind until Sam, a lonely little boy, wishes for him. Together, they find a friendship like no other.
The perfect chemistry between Eoin Colfer's text and Oliver Jeffers's artwork makes for a dazzlingly original picture book. Coloring and activities to follow.
What: Click, Clack, Boo! Storytime
When: Saturday, October 24, at 11 a.m.
Details: Will the barnyard animals trick—or treat—Farmer Brown? Find out in this Halloween follow-up to the bestselling Click, Clack, Moo. Farmer Brown does not like Halloween. He draws the shades, puts on his footy pajamas, and climbs into bed, but for the barnyard animals the Halloween party has just begun. And we all know these critters far prefer tricks over treats. There are big surprises in store for Farmer Brown! Fun activities and drawing follow the Storytime.
