Summer Nights: Pacific Mambo Orchestra
This summer, the Osher Marin JCC reprises its most popular event series: the Summer Nights Outdoor Music Festival. Bring your picnic, blanket, low-backed lawn chairs, and dancing shoes—there's fun for the whole family! Concerts take place on Saturday evenings from July through August. All shows are at 7 pm. Dinners from a variety of local pop-up restaurants will be available for purchase, along with beer, wine, cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and snacks.
Best of all, kids 17 and under are admitted free, and the Kid Zone will include fun art projects and activities presented by local organizations like the JCC's Summer Camps program, WildCare, and the O'Hanlon Center for the Arts. Of course the playground will be open for play, too.
Grammy Award winning Pacific Mambo Orchestra closes out The 27th Annual Summer Nights Series of live music, food, cocktails, dancing, kid fun and more, with an amazing night of the Latin Big Band sound under the stars.
This 2013 Grammy® Award winning 19-piece Latin Big Band plays Salsa, Mambo, Latin Jazz, Cha Cha Cha along with a fusion of sounds that incorporate more modern genres. Delivering original music and unique modern arrangements of hits, PMO paves the way to a bold new sound appealing to the next generation of Big Band listeners.
Get ready of a breathtaking live act that combines the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Duke Ellington and Tito Puente from an orchestra born in the core of America’s most innovative city, San Francisco, and created by the talented artists of our very own Bay Area.
