Come celebrate Tu B’Shevat, the Jewish New Year for the Trees, with Daniel Barash of The Shadow Puppet Workshop. In this participatory puppet show, watch stories and hear poems and songs about trees come to life on an illuminated shadow stage. Audience members will have the chance to puppeteer behind the screen at the conclusion of the program. See you in the land of shadows!
Daniel Barash, director of The Shadow Puppet Workshop, travels around the country as a teaching artist working with educators, students, and families. Using the ancient art of shadow puppetry, in which shadows are cast upon a lit screen, stories and folktales from around the world are brought to life.
FREE with regular admission as follows: Members and youth 18 and under, free; general admission, $12; students with a valid ID and seniors, $10. Limited capacity; advance registration recommended.
