Women and Money, Talk Sat. April 25, San Rafael

This event is expired.
How women’s needs and concerns about money differ from those of men will be discussed in a talk Saturday morning, 12-1 p.m. Saturday, April 25 in San Rafael, at the Blue Door Conference Room , 1003 Third St., San Rafael.
The free talk features speakers J.R. Hastings, estate planning attorney, and Certified Financial Planner Kathleen Nemetz. They will explore research findings showing why women take a different approach to finances than do men, and how women can use this information in making decisions affecting themselves and their families.
Women of all ages may lack in depth information about investments, but often are the primary decision makers regarding household budgets. Women also tend to be more conservative than are men in choosing investments. Because of societal changes, more women are heading up households and supporting extended families, putting more pressure on them for managing finances for the long-term.
The implications for partnered and unpartnered women for estate planning will also be addressed.
