Heirloom Apple Festival and U-Pick at Gold Ridge Organic Farms in Sebastopol
Celebrate the fall season at the Fourth Annual Heirloom Apple Festival at Gold Ridge Organic Farms in Sebastopol! It's a fun-filled day at the farm for the whole family that welcomes the arrival of fall and the farm's heirloom apples. Sample some of the 70+ heirloom apple varieties grown in Gold Ridge Farms' organic orchards as well as their organic extra virgin olive oils, apple cider balsamic vinegar, and apple cider syrup. The festival takes place Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 10 am to 3 pm.
You can also stroll through the beautiful olive and apple orchards with founder-farmer Brooke Hazen, take a ride on the apple-themed trolley, enjoy a sample of freshly pressed apple juice from a hand turned cider press, try local cheese and apple pairings, and spark your curiosity with cooking demos, displays, and other culinary adventures. Kids can win a prize on an apple-themed scavenger hunt!
Food at the festival includes wood-fired pizzas by Chef Seamus (11 am–2:30p m or until sold out) and treats like locally made apple crumble made with Gold Ridge apples, and apple cider slushies. Live music will be provided by Spike Sikes and His Awesome Hotcakes. Featured guests include California Rare Fruit Growers (Redwood Empire Chapter), Western Sonoma County Historical Society, California Garden & Landscape History Society, Goatlandia Farm Animal Sanctuary, Larry Wagner's Heirloom Tomatoes, and Farmer Mai's Heirloom Grains.

Apple U-Pick and Pizza Party
If you can't make the Heirloom Apple Festival, Gold Ridge Organic Farms will be hosting an apple u-pick and pizza party, in conjunction with the Weekend Along the Farm Trails fall farm tour, on Saturday, September 27 from 9 am to 3 pm! Pick your own organic Fuji apples straight from the orchard and enjoy a selection of wood-fired pizzas crafted from the farm's products and other local ingredients (11 am–2:30 pm or until sold out). We had a great time picking apples at one of their earlier u-pick events this summer and the apples are fantastic!
U-pick admission is $8 for adults and $3 for children; advance registration is required and time slots are at 9, 10, and 11 am. U-pick apples are $4 per pound. You can also take a tour of the olive and apple orchards or a tram ride on the apple-themed trolley. (Tours coat $5 per person.) Register for Weekend Along the Farm Trails here (it's free!).
