Marin Country Mart’s 13th Annual Pie Baking Contest

Calling all bakers! The Marin Country Mart’s 13th Annual Pie Baking Contest is taking place on Bring your proudest pie to the big Farmers Market tent by 10 am on the morning of Saturday, October 11 to enter the competition. 

No need for a formal RSVP, simply arrive on the day with your masterpiece in tow. ⁠

Pie categories: Adults, Kids (14 and under)

Rules: Pie entries should be prepared in a disposable 9-inch pie tin, and must be accompanied by the title of your pie, your name, your category, your phone number, and the pie recipe. Only one entry per person.

Ingredients: Ingredients must be all-natural (natural means it does not contain any artificial ingredients, coloring, or chemical preservatives), and seasonal. Sweet or savory pies are accepted.

Judging Criteria: Pies will be judged on taste, presentation, and flakiness of the crust. Extra points for beautiful and creative submissions. Judges include Lisa Atwood (Editor in Chief of Edible Marin & Wine Country), Chef Chris Greenwald of Bay Laurel Culinary (former Executive Chef of Iron Horse Vineyards), and Zoe Williams (Three Babes Baking Co pastry chef).

Prizes: First prize $200.
