My oldest daughter has recently started pre-school. We really love the school and a lot of the other parents. My daughter has befriended another little girl in class and the two play together really well. I have been having playdates with this girl and her mother for a few months now. I felt very comfortable at their house and around their family. I have even left my daughter there alone for about an hour to do errands at the store. This is a huge deal for me because I really don't trust anyone. And I should know better it turns out...

Just recently, I have discovered that the mother of my daughter's friend takes a lot of pills. I've been told that she takes Vicodin. I don't know what's a lot but another mother at our pre-school told me, this mom takes about 12 pills a day. That seems like a lot...is it??

So, I need some advice. I am very nervous being around this mom now that I know what she does. And, I'm extremely uncomfortable having my daughter around her, too. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this? What did you do? I like this mom and I hope she gets help but I'm not sure I can be around her anymore until she does.
