Weekend Along Farm Trails: September 29 and 30

Sonoma County Farm Trails is celebrating their 35th anniversary, so gather the family and check out some of the wonderful farms in our backyard! This weekend, September 29 and 30, a variety of farms will open their doors for a special weekend of fun activities and informative tours to start celebrating the fall harvest. Participating farms will be featuring pumpkin patches, special farm tours, farm animals, freshly picked fruits and vegetables, restaurants, wineries, and activities for the kids.

Adobe Pumpkin Farm, located in Petaluma at East Washington St. and Adobe Rd., offers a free mini pumpkin for each child visiting this weekend. They also offer pick-your-own pumpkins, flowers, a haunted house, a corn maze, and more. They’re open from 10 a.m. to dusk. More info: www.adobepumpkinfarm.com. For a complete list of participating farms go to www.farmtrails.org/weekend-farms.html.

It all sounds like a great kickoff to the fall season!
