Storytelling Festival Featuring Olga Loya

This event is expired.

In today’s fast-paced world, storytelling reminds us that spoken words are powerful, that listening is important, and that clear communication between people is an art. On Saturday, January 31, 2 – 4 pm, the library is hosting its fourth annual Storytelling Festival, an opportunity to join together as a community and share a tradition that is as old as humanity itself. Our featured teller this year is Olga Loya, a nationally known Latina storyteller, performance artist, and author. Loya dramatically and vividly mixes Spanish and English in her performances. Her repertoire reveals the diversity and richness of our collective culture in its commonality and individuality. We are also seeking community members of all ages, from kids to grandparents and everyone in between, to share stories. Beginner tellers welcome.
