Oliver Chin, author of the new children's book "Year of the Rooster" visits Larkspur Library

2017 is The Year of the Rooster! Ray is the son of the hen and rooster. His father has the important job of waking everyone up! Ray befriends a girl named Ying and learns that another bird is held in even greater esteem! Can he and Ying find this mythical creature? On this journey, can Ray find his own calling? Local author Oliver Chin will be at Larkspur Library to share his new picture book, The Year of the Rooster, the latest from his Tales from the Chinese Zodiac series. A magna cum laude graduate of Harvard, Oliver founded the children's book publisher Immedium (www.immedium.com). He published the original stories of The Octonauts (www.octonauts.com), which is now a hit animated TV series worldwide and broadcast on the Disney Channel.
