New "step mom" here and looking for others to help me be successful
Hello to everyone!
I am not sure if this is the appropriate forum, however I will give it a chancel. I have recently moved in with my significant other and his 14 year old son. I am very excited about this and I want to make sure that I become an inspiring role model for his son. I (we) need to explore different ways to keep him entertained outside of TV and movies all the time. It is a strange age and if there is anyone who feels that have had much success with their 14 year old I would really appreciate your input!

Hi Jen,
I am a new step mom too! My fiance has a three year old daughter. We moved in together when she was two. She is with us Thurs-Sunday-we have her 50% of the time. The role of step mom can be challenging, but so rewarding! I can only imagine with a teenage boy. It's important for me to be an inspiring role model to our daughter and not overstep my boundaries because she has a mother. I want to do it right! So, if you'd like to talk let me know. I'm also a school teacher so I'm around kids, parents, and their social activities a lot!

I'm new to this website and just thought I'd check out the forum, especially interested in new mom discussions and stepmotherhood ideas. I'm just about 4 months pregnant, and a step mom of a 10 year old (going on 17) boy. Challenging, yes. I'd love to connect with any step moms who want to share stories and support.
