We have an outstanding Brazilian woman named Karla that has been taking care of my daughter since she was 8 months old (now 26 months) and my son (now 4 months old); due to increased needs on the home front we are getting an Au Pair but wish to help her find a wonderful family in need of her special skills!

Karla worked for another family in Petaluma for 3years (they can be contacted as well for a glowing reference) prior to coming to the United States she taught Kindergarten for 5years. I will have her share additional details about prior work experience.

She would prefer a family living closer to Petaluma but will consider all locations; hours flexible but looking for full-time employment. Salary negotiable depending on number of children; $18/hr for one child.

Karla has become a member of our extended family, she also has a loving husband and an adorable 12year old son named Daniel (that my daughter adores)! Karla is very energetic and enthusiastic with a lovely smile and positive personality! She has more patience than anyone I have ever met and has helped us along the way deal with the challenges of raising children, now we have a toddler; latest issues...jealous of a new baby/temper tantrums and potty training! We trust her implicitly with our children; she is a safe driver (Volvo SUV). Amid chaos she has the ability to multi-task with a busy child, crying baby still finding the ability to assist me in keeping the home running! Karla is creative finding new activities or events going on in the area to attend; I believe my daughter has been to every park in the area!

Karla will go above and beyond for the next family she joins as she has for us and others; a couple of examples: when I was too pregnant to take my daughter for swim lessons she happily put on a bathing suit and took her for me every week (they had so much fun); in case I went into labor in the night she kept her cell phone handy so we could call her to come and take care of Morgan. Currently she is helping me sleep train my infant something we were not able to do first time around... she is my support, wise council and female friend offering endless kindness and reassurance! I hear her singing and reading to my son and I watch as he beams into a smile when she comes into the room; my daughter and her have a special relationship all of which has made going back to work easier knowing they are in good loving competent hands!

For the next year our work schedules are such that we will require last minute frequent evening and w/e support which would prove to be a challenge to her own family. She has been very flexible when we have needed her to come early or stay late always so accommodating. We feel so very fortunate to have had her in our lives and are very saddened at the thought of not seeing her every day but know she and her family will always be very important to us. We wish to help her find a family that will be kind back to her and appreciate what a very special person she is!
