Mary Jane worked with our family from April 2009-early summer 2012 doing a variety of tasks in our busy household of three growing boys. The feeling is one of ambivalence as Mary Jane leaves our family for her next venture because she has truly been the unfaltering support, on many levels, that will be sorely missed by all members of our family.

Mary Jane first came to our family when our third son was four months old. Now, he is well into his third year of life and over the course of our time with her, Mary Jane helped us move twice, sustain our household while we spent hundreds of hours building a house, lovingly and consistently cared for our boys and continually alleviated the stresses of day-to-day life with her gentle caring nature. When Mary Jane initially came to work for us, we had high standards and she has exceeded our expectations in every instance.

Aside from the deep commitment Mary Jane made to our boys, the tasks she performed varied greatly but following are a short sample: meal preparation, laundry, managing service people, organizing a filing system for the household, school pick up and drop off, cleaning, straightening, filling etc. Regardless of her role on any given day, Mary Jane seamlessly adapts to unplanned nuances in her workday, she takes great pride and joy in all her endeavors and she brings an elevated level of attention to and genuine delight in the children under her care.

I believe our three-year-old succinctly states our experience with Mary Jane when he is listing the people in his family. He says we have in our family "Mommy, Daddy, Mary Jane, Logan and Sawyer"- she is a part of our family.
