Discovery Camps at the Bay Area Discovery Museum

The Bay Area Discovery Museum's Discovery Camps at the are back for 2022! Campers will have a blast with two weeks of robust programming that provides the perfect blend of the museum's exhibits and the surrounding Fort Baker and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. BADM camps provide child-directed, inquiry driven learning through project-based, hands-on activities designed to boost creativity, STEAM skills and critical thinking. Camp themes are designed for specific age groups starting at 4 years old.

• Adventures on the Bay: 4–5 year olds
  2 week sessions: June 20–August 12, 2022
  9 am–3 pm
  This is where summer discoveries begin for BADM’s youngest campers! Your child’s imagination will run wild as they lead the way on a series of adventures at BADM, the surrounding Fort Baker National Park and the Bay shoreline. Register here.
• Explore Camp: 5–6 year olds
  2 week sessions: June 20–August 12, 2022
  9 am–3 pm
  Your 5-6 year-old will see, feel and experience the world in new ways when they explore themes like art, science and nature. Some of the Explore Camp themes include: Creative Minds, Adventures in Science, Nature Quest, and Builders' Workshop. Register here.
• Tinker with Digital Tools: 7–9 year olds
  2 week sessions: June 20–August 12, 2022
  9 am–3 pm
  Tinker with digital tools in the Try It Studio and explore the great outdoors in Fort Baker National Park. Themes include: Fort Baker Rangers and Tinker Around the Bay. Register here.
• Fort Bakers Makers: 8–10 year olds
  2 week sessions: June 20–August 12, 2022
  9 am–3 pm
  Time to Innovate! Your Fort Baker Maker will be challenged to develop solutions to everyday problems. Working in teams and as individual campers, they will design, build and test innovative creations in BADM's Think, Make, Try Classroom, a part of the Try It Studio. Register here.
• Junior Counselors: 11–14 year olds
  2 week sessions: June 20–August 12, 2022
  9 am–3 pm
  This is where BADM's oldest campers develop leadership skills when they connect with and help younger campers with their projects, making friends, and transitioning to camp routines. Junior counselors are included in all aspects of Summer Camp at BADM - from tinkering indoors to adventuring outdoors. It's a big job that's big on fun! Register here.
