Snails & Turkey Tails Nature Preschool

Snails & Turkey Tails is a nature-based early childhood program for children ages 2 to 5 that blends child-led exploration with intentional guided learning. Our approach is grounded in early childhood development - recognizing that young children learn best through movement, sensory experiences, and real world exploration.

Through seasonal outdoor experiences, children build early skills in science, language, creativity and social development - while growing independence, confidence and a deep connection to the natural world.

Our intentionally small group size (8 children max) allows us to truly know each child - supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development in a calm, connected environment.

Out program can serve as a meaningful supplement to preschool or homeschool, or as a full-time early education experience - meeting families where they are.

Location:

We meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday near downtown San Anselmo with a once a week offsite field trip to a nearby open space or nature preserve.

Our program is a wonderful complement to a preschool or homeschool schedule, offering rich outdoor experiences and small-group learning. Sessions run from September through May. We offer summer camps from June-August, as well as seasonal camps throughout the year.
