Leave Your Mark at the Bay Area Discovery Museum!

In celebration of its 40th anniversary, Marin's beloved Bay Area Discovery Museum is offering you and your family a way to leave your mark on their campus, raise funds, and show your appreciation for all the museum provides to local children and families. To mark this special occasion, you'll have the opportunity to include your child’s handprint in the museum's 40th Anniversary Handprint Mosaic, a colorful installation by local artist Angelina Duckett that will come to life on the Festival Plaza steps throughout 2026.

Each participating child will choose their handprint color and create their own tile with support from the museum team and Duckett, while learning about mosaics during special handprint-making workshop. Each tile will also include the child’s first name, so families can return to the museum and enjoy the installation for generations to come. 

Handprint Mosaic capacity is limited, so purchase yours today! The cost is $1,500 per family and handprint tiles are fully tax-deductible. Participation is limited to one handprint per child, and handprint making event details will be shared after purchase.
