Silhouette Artist Karl Johnson Returns to the Marin This Fall!
Third-generation silhouette artist Karl Johnson is returning to the Marin and the Bay Area this fall to create hand cut silhouettes! Each unique work of art is cut freehand by this master scissor artist and takes just minutes. All ages are welcome (including the squirmy ones). Needless to say these priceless artworks would make fantastic holiday gifts.
Karl's work has been featured in over 30 magazines including The O List in Oprah Magazine, People, and Elle Decor. He also has a large celebrity following and has created silhouettes for Reese Witherspoon, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Cruise, and many more.
Marin and Sonoma County silhouette events take place October 18–20, 2025 at these venues:
- Saturday, October 18: Cupcake, Santa Rosa
- Sunday, October 19: Five Little Monkeys, Novato
- Monday, October 20: Five Little Monkeys, Corte Madera
Original silhouettes cost $35 each, and advance registration is required at all locations. Make your appointment soon, as spots are filling up quickly! If you can't make any of Karl's stops in Marin or Sonoma, he'll be holding additional events at in San Francisco, Burlingame, and Castro Valley.
