Support Marin's Foster Youth with a Dance-a-thon!
Put on your dancing shoes and get ready to help support Marin's Foster Youth at Marin Foster Care Association's third annual Dance-a-thon, which raises awareness for two very important programs necessary to support Marin's Foster Youth. Join MFCA in the Corte Madera Community Center courtyard on Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 4:30–7:30 pm for dancing to a DJ (with choreography by Luv2Dance and Stop, Drop & Dance), raffle prizes, pizza, kids' sundae making, and fun surprises.
Adult tickets cost $25, and child tickets (ages 2–12) are $10. Purchase Dance-a-thon tickets here. The Corte Madera Community Center is located at 498 Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera 94925.
Every year, from Tomales to Tiburon, over 140 children have open cases in the dependency system and dozens of families are impacted by trauma associated with abuse and neglect.
MFCA's Opportunity Project and Say Yes Fund make it possible for them to fund services for a particular foster child's physical, mental, or emotional well-being as well as offset or cover the cost of obstacles to saying “Yes” to a foster child.
MFCA’s fundraising efforts along with your participation ensure:
- Marin foster youth get a warm bed and a safe home
- Every Marin foster child has access to the necessities such as:
- Tutoring and enrichment
- Clothing, toys and sports equipment, school and safety supplies
- Caregivers have training and assistance navigating the complex dependency system
