Test Your Riding Skills at Stafford Lake Bike Park in Novato!

Are you ready to roll? Pack up the bikes and head to Marin County's only public bike park at Stafford Lake Park in Novato. This 17-acre bike park has features for all skill levels, including a perimiter trail, a dual slalom, a progression jump course, a beginner pump track, and a kids' learn-to-ride area. It's ideal for BMX, mountain bikes, and dirt jumpers.

Beginners should check out the learn-to-ride zone with its pump track. The perimeter trail is ideal for riders of all skill levels, and the progression jump course has three jump lines at varying degrees of difficulty. Stafford also has the only dual slalom course west of Truckee, which is meant for intermediate and advanced riders.

You'll also find frequent ranger-led events, like group trainings and fun and friendly competitions, throughout the year. Check the Marin County Parks online calendar for info.

Riders should bring their bikes (of course) as well as helmets and protective gear. Only bikes are allowed; all other vehicles, including skateboards, scooters, and motorized vehicles (including electric bikes) are prohibited. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Read the full list of bike park rules here.

Stafford Lake Park is located at 3549 Novato Boulevard in Novato. Parking and admission to the park are free. Groups of more than 20 people require a reservation. Bike park features may close periodically due to maintenance or weather conditions (especially after a strong rainstorm); call (415) 473-JUMP (5867) for updates.

The park is open 8 am–5 pm in the winter and 7 am–7 pm in the spring, fall, and summer. For more information about Stafford Lake Bike Park, visit www.marinparks.org.
