This month, many private schools and preschools in Marin are holding open houses for parents of prospective students. If you're considering a local a preschool or elementary school for your child, you'll definitely want to attend. The following schools and preschools are holding open houses this January. Unless otherwise noted, these open house events require RSVPs in advance.
- Terra Marin School
Thursday, January 10, 6:30 pm
Terra Marin is a progressive and inclusive K-8th grade program, dedicated to honoring the gifts of its students while providing a safe and supportive environment in which they can inquire, explore and challenge themselves both in and out of the classroom. At their Evening Open House, children and adults alike will learn, build and create with a variety of activities that showcase just what makes Terra Marin K-8 special. Arts and crafts, rocket making, science projects and other fun activities will keep the younger set busy while adults can join the activities or listen to a presentation by Terra Marin senior staff, parents, and students. The best way to get to know San Domenico is to come for a visit! Their K–8 open house takes place Saturday, January 12 in the Hall of the Arts. More information
- Montessori de Terra Linda

At Terra Marin's Exploratory Day Open House, children and adults alike will learn, build and create with a variety of activities that showcase just what makes Terra Marin K-8 special. Families will have the opportunity to visit each classroom, learn about our mission, curriculum, service programs and after-school activities. Teachers and Administration are available to visit with prospective families, and all questions are welcome! You may also view textbook materials, and samples of student work.
