Friday, April 10

  • San Anselmo Parks and Recreation holds an egg hunt on Friday, April 10 from 7:50 pm for kids ages 8 and older at Memorial Park in San Anselmo. Bring your flashlight and basket to collect treats. Please call the San Anselmo Parks & Recreation department for more information at (415) 258-4640.

Saturday, April 11

  • Corte Madera Parks & Recreation's Children's Egg Hunt, Saturday, April 11 at 10 am sharp at the Corte Madera Town Park. There will be a magic show and jump house. For more info, call (415) 927-5073.
  • Fairfax's annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place in Bolinas Park at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 11th. Music will be provided by James K. and will take place rain or shine. This event is sponsored by the Fairfax Park and Recreation Commission. For more information please call 456-5652.
  • The City of Sausalito holds its annual Easter Parade and Egg Hunt on Saturday April 11, from 10 am–1 pm. The Easter Bunny will lead the parade, which begins at the fire station at the corner of Johnson and Caledonia Streets. Then, after the parade, the festivities will take place at Dunphy Park, and will include an old-fashioned egg hunt, crafts for the kids, live entertainment, and an Easter bonnet contest. So put on your best bonnet (with all the frills upon it) and come join the fun. For more info, go to their website.
  • Come to the Spring Faire at the Strawberry Recreation District on Saturday, April 11 at 10:00 am. The Spring Faire is for children ages 1 through 8 and  includes carnival games, prizes and a candy and egg hunt (so bring your basket). Fee is $5 per child. The event will take place in the district gym at 118 E. Strawberry Drive. For information, call 383-6494.
  • San Anselmo Parks and Recreation holds a Children's Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 11 at 11 am at Memorial Park for kids ages 7 and younger. The Egg Hunt will include an egg hunt and a chance to take a picture with the Easter Bunny, so bring your cameras.   • The Marinwood Community Center will be having Breakfast with Bunny and an egg hunt on Saturday, April 11 at Marinwood Park. The free egg hunt begins at 10 am and the breakfast will follow right after. Breakfast is $4.00 if purchased by April 10 and $6.00 at the door. www.marinwood.org
  • The Downtown Novato Business Association will be having a Spring Celebration in downtown Novato, April 11 from 11–2 pm. There will be an egg Hunt at 11:00 am on Sherman Avenue compliments of Comcast Spotlight.   • The San Marin Improvement Association hold their annual Easter Egg Hunt and Family BBQ at Miwok Park on Saturday, April 11, at 11 am. www.sanmarin.org
  • The Bonnie Lockhart Sing-and-Dance will be taking place at the Belvedere-Tiburon Library on Saturday at 11 am. Local musician Bonnie Lockhart will encourage kids to sing and dance in this free music program for ages 0-5 in the Founders Room.   • Month of the Young Child Family Festival takes place this Saturday at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. The Bay Area Discovery Museum teams up with early childhood service organizations to honor and celebrate young children and the important people in their lives. Come see Chinyakare Ensemble and the music and dance of Zimbabwe at 11:00 am. Meet illustrator and designer Katherine Armstrong as she leads an interactive book reading followed by an animal parade with masks you've made in Studio 10 from 11:45 am to 12:30 pm. Don’t miss De Rompe y Raja, an Afro-Peruvian music and dance form 1 pm-2 pm. Please obtain your free performance ticket at the Front Desk prior to entering the Discovery Theater for all events.   • What’s the Buzz? Bring the kids to the Richardson Bay Audubon Center & Sanctuary on Saturday from 10 am-12 pm. Find out why native bees are important to our gardens, our ecosystems, and our planet! We’ll discover bees, butterflies, and other pollinators at the sanctuary and learn about their fascinating natural history. Appropriate for children ages 5-8. Sunday, April 12

  • Miwok Stables at Tennessee Valley presents their 3rd Annual Open House and Easter Egg Hunt at noon and 1:00 pm on Sunday, April 12. A visit from the Easter Bunny is expected! Everyone is welcome. Free. Information: (415) 383-8048 or miwokstablescenter.org.
  • Join the animals of Safari West Wildlife Preserve for their 8th annual Hunt for the Hare Easter brunch, tour, and egg hunt on Sunday, April 12. Two tour and brunch packages: morning (brunch at 10 am, tour 11 am) and afternoon (brunch 1 pm, tour 2 pm). Egg hunt is at 12:15 pm. Tour and brunch are $63 for adults, $30 children.   • The 18th Annual Union Street Spring Celebration & Easter Parade in San Francisco will take place on Sunday, April 12, 2009 from 10 am to 5 pm at Union Street and Gough to Steiner. There will be a variety of children's and family activities that include: large inflatable bounces, kids' rides and games, a climbing wall, a hands-on children's activities area, costumed characters, a petting zoo, a pony ride and entertainment from some of the Bay Area's best musicians.   • The Park Chalet at the western end of Golden Gate Park offers an Easter buffet brunch that includes an Easter egg hunt with the Easter Bunny. Brunch is 10 am to 3 pm; children's activities at 10 am, Easter egg hunt begins at 11:45 am.
