Join friends, families, and musicians for The Valley Jamboree, a child-friendly event in the heart of the beautiful San Geronimo Valley. Proceeds from the event support LEAP, the non-profit organization dedicated to providing the Lagunitas Public School students a world-class education.
Featuring music from an all-star line up of local and national talent including music from bluegrass, Americana and soul/R&B genres. The Hot Buttered Bluegrass Collective featuring members of Hot Buttered Rum, Kevin Meade & Highway 1, The New Blueridge Highballers and Ken Adams & Friends will rock the stage starting at 1 pm and continue through 6 pm.
While the music plays there will be ample entertainment options. Carnival games and a petting zoo will keep the youngest of us (and the young at heart) busy while those with a lucky streak can take a chance at the west county’s best auction and raffle. Dancing is always encouraged at our main stage but for those who are more adventurous, join our Contra Dance, a couples-based folk dance that’s been around for centuries. Kids will enjoy our famous Cake Walk where everyone dances to the sounds of yesterday and today’s best pop songs. When the music stops everyone chooses a numbered tile to stand on and we pick a lucky winner who receives their choice of, you guessed it, a cake!
Children’s crafts, face painting, and temporary tattoos are always a hit while local craftspeople share their talents. And don’t forget the great food available for purchase including an amazing barbeque, a tasty paella dish, baked goods and all the oysters you dare to eat.
