Celebrate Halloween at the Mill Valley Community Center, Friday, October 25

Trunk or Treat Mill Valley Community Center

Get a head start on Halloween on Friday, October 25, when Mill Valley Recreation presents a full array of fun family Halloween and Dia de los Muertos activities. The fun begins at the Mill Valley Community Center at 3:30 pm and goes until 8:30 pm.

The Center's Halloween celebration kicks off with drumming with Mika Scott at 3:30 pm and a magic show from ChinChin at 4 pm ($9 general admission). Then comes the 5th annual Trunk or Treat from 4:30 to 6 pm, a fun free community event where families come to the community center parking lot to trick-or-treat at decorated car trunks from local organizations. We'll be there handing out goodies, so make sure you stop by and say hi!

Trunk or Treat also includes free face painting, music by Music with Megan and Kindermusic with Andrea, bounce houses, activities, and more. Make sure you come in costume! A photographer will be on site to take fun photos of you and your family at the event.

From 5 to 6 pm kids can make Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos crafts like shadow boxes, trick-or-treat bags, and ornaments in the Center. Afterward, gather in the Cascade Room for a screening of the Disney/Pixar movie Coco. Popcorn and snacks will be available; bring your blankets and sleeping bags (no chairs, please).

TeenZone will be holding a Halloween party for kids ages 11 to 14 ($15 TeenZone members, $20 non-members) with snacks, games, and pumpkin carving. Space is limited, so register now!

Food will be available for purchase from Hot Diggety, offering a wide selection of kid-friendly hot dogs, and Banh Mi Zon, which will be serving up Vietnamese sandwiches, salads, and noodle bowls.

The Mill Valley Community Center is located at 180 Camino Alto in Mill Valley. Learn more about this fun event here. See you there!
