Celebrate the Lunar New Year at the Bay Area Discovery Museum

Lunar New Year Bay Area Discovery Museum Chinese New Year

Say goodbye to the Year of the Pig and welcome the Year of the Rat at the Bay Area Discovery Museum. Bring the whole family to the museum on Monday, February 17 (Presidents Day), from 9 am to 4 pm, to experience the vibrant traditions of the Lunar New Year and Chinese culture at BADM!

The Bay Area Discovery Museum will be celebrating the magic of the Year of the Rat with a full schedule of programming and performances. Enjoy Lion Dancers and martial arts demonstrations, or get hands-on with lantern making and calligraphy! This annual festival with popular performances and programs is presented in partnership with the Marin Chinese Cultural Association.

Families can also get hands-on with fun activities including lantern making in the Fab Lab, DIY calligraphy and zodiac puppets in the Art Studios, and more.
