Big Changes at Trinity

For the last two years our son has prospered at Trinity. Then in early 2007 the Pastor of the attached church and the Administrator of the preschool had a fight which resulted in half the teachers and all the school admin personnel quitting or getting fired.

They've scrambled to fill the positions, but they've hired teachers with multiple facial piercings and upper body tattoos. I know this is Marin, but, we picked a parochial school hoping to *not* have to discuss tongue-rings and goth make-up with our 4-year old!

We'll be looking for other options for our second child.

re. Big Changes at Trinity

The above poster claims that staff were fired. This is simply false. Staff members made the choice to quit for various reasons (retirement, childbirth, job relocation, etc.). The only accurate fact here is that is was about half of the staff.

It is also unfortunate that this poster tries to lead the reader by using terms like "scrambled" when in fact the preschool followed every protocol and procedure when hiring a new employee. In fact, some applicants were not hired which indicates that it would be impossible to "scramble" as this poster says.

As a staff member, trained educator and parent of Trinity, I would like the truth to be told. In reality, Trinity Preschool and Kindergarten continues to be a thriving school in Marin...

The current staff is caring and professional and I would submit, for the first time, Trinity has introduced a more diverse experience for the children. The teachers at Trinity are different in many ways. So for my child, I look forward to the opportunity to explain that people are different (skin color, hair style, height, weight, piercings, tattoos etc.) and we can talk about the fact that God has created us unique, different and all still a part of God’s family. Something I WOULD expect of a parochial preschool. And this is naturally the age in which children begin to identify differences. So why shelter them from it and discourage their natural interest when they are already asking the questions? Check it out yourself:

I hope the above poster will find a fit for their children and their family. But for mine, Trinity is a place where my child is flourishing and will grow to be loving, understanding, accepting and secure human being! Contact the school and schedule a tour for yourself.
